ScoreJam #15 Post Mortem
This jam was really fun to participate in! I haven't done a jam in years.
I loved that I was able to flex my game design muscles with some friends and challenge myself to implement super expandable code for every aspect of this game.
I wish that I could have had an artist to work with, however, in terms of time i took a more casual approach to making this game. In reality, I just wanted to have something that was decently fun and playable.
That being said, there are problems with the game, such as the lack of sound, and the velocity reflection math is incorrect. I didn't have the time over the weekend to figure it out, until about this morning, when I had already run out of time. I normally work in 3D, and it would have been a much more trivial problem in 3D, not something that you can usually say when comparing the two.
I'm tempted to add in a bit more juice and flavour, and to fix up that vector math, just to play around with the concept more. I hope you enjoy the game!
